NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, THAILAND – A 34-year-old woman was shot dead in a rental house with three bullets. Her boyfriend is the prime suspect. He fled on a motorbike. Police suspect jealousy and are preparing an arrest warrant.
The deadly incident happened in a house on Soi Charoen Suk 2 in Tha Wang subdistrict. Sudaporn, whose surname was not released, was found dead on a bed after the shooting.
The 34-year-old was from Trang province. She died from gunshot wounds. The caliber of the weapon has not been revealed.
Mother heard the three shots
Three people lived in the rental house together: Sudaporn, her boyfriend Top, and Top’s mother. The couple was in the bedroom while the mother was outside the room.
She heard three shots in a row, police said. Shortly after, Top left the room and drove away on a motorbike. When the mother checked, she found Sudaporn dead on the bed.
Police suspect jealousy as motive
Police Colonel Kittichai Krainara from Mueang Police Station said the couple argued regularly. Top allegedly suspected Sudaporn was using her mobile phone to contact other men.

Investigators secure evidence
Police Lieutenant Colonel Akkaradet Pongprom examined the crime scene. Officers from Police Region 8, provincial police, the investigation unit, forensic doctors, and helpers from the Tai Teck Tueng Foundation also responded.
Police are now collecting evidence to request an arrest warrant for Top. The suspect fled after the crime on a motorbike.
Arrest warrant preparation
The investigation is ongoing at Mueang Police Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Deputy Commander of Region 8 and acting provincial police chief Pornchai Kajornklin, as well as police chief Kittichai Krainara, were involved in the operation.
Police are gathering more evidence to obtain an arrest warrant against Top.
