NAKHON RATCHASIMA, THAILAND – Six visitors hurt in armed attack at food market. Police arrest one suspect, hunt for others.
The attack happened Wednesday night at the ‘Chim Shop Chai’ event near Dan Khun Thot. Vendors were packing up around 10:30 PM when a row broke out.
Motorcycle theft sparks chaos
The trouble began when someone tried to steal a parked motorcycle. The owner confronted the thieves and, with help from event organizer Prakob Patithin, managed to hold one of them.
The second suspect escaped – and that’s when things turned deadly.
Armed gang returns for revenge
The fugitive came back with armed friends. According to the organizer, the group went straight for the crowd, weapons drawn.
Police confirmed weapons were used in the attack.
The attackers used a weapon made in Thailand.

Two women among the wounded
Four men and two women ended up injured. Two of the men suffered serious wounds and needed hospital stays.
Victims were first taken to Luang Pho Khun Parisuttho Dan Khun Thot Hospital. The more critical cases were moved to Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital.
Police test suspect for gunshot residue
The arrested suspect was grilled by police and sent for forensic testing. Investigators are checking for gunshot residue on his hands.
Officers are still hunting for the other members of the gang.
