PATTAYA, THAILAND – A 55-year-old Finnish man died after being hit by a motorcycle on Jomtien Second Road on Friday evening.
Accident near Rompho Jomtien Market
The collision occurred at around 9:40 p.m. on 20 March 2026 on Jomtien Second Road, near the Rompho Jomtien Market. According to initial information, the Finnish pedestrian was crossing the street when a Kawasaki Z800 approached at high speed and hit him.
Rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation responded and took the seriously injured man to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. He died shortly after admission from his injuries. The Finnish embassy was in the process of confirming his identity.
Motorcyclist without identification
The motorcycle rider, whose age was estimated at between 30 and 40, also suffered serious injuries and was taken to Pattaya City Hospital. His condition was reported as critical. No identity documents were found on him, and his identity remained unknown.
