UDOM SUK, THAILAND – A medical emergency on May 1, 2026, required an extraordinary rescue operation for a critically ill man weighing nearly 300 kilograms.
Rescue with a Tow Truck
The patient suffered massive breathing difficulties in the Udom Suk area and urgently needed medical help. Due to his extreme body weight, rescue crews had to develop an unusual emergency plan.
Instead of an ambulance, a special tow truck was used. Only this heavy vehicle could safely and stably carry the man’s load.
Authorities Clear the Expressway
The traffic police of the Royal Project and the Thai highway authority worked closely together. They coordinated the transport to avoid any unnecessary delay in heavy traffic.
The officers opened a special lane for the truck. Additionally, the heavy vehicle was allowed to use the expressway to significantly shorten travel time.

The transport was successful and the man safely reached Chulalongkorn Hospital. There, specialists immediately took him in for further treatment.
