UDON THANI, THAILAND – A late-night collision involving three vehicles left over 10 people injured and required the extrication of several occupants.

The incident occurred on June 6, 2569 (Thai Buddhist Era), at approximately 02:47 AM at the East-Nong Han traffic light intersection on Nittayo Road in Nong Han District, Udon Thani Province. The crash involved a minibus, a BMW passenger car, and a pickup truck carrying rambutan. The minibus overturned following a rear-end impact.

More than 10 individuals sustained injuries in the collision. The minibus was carrying 12 passengers, four of whom were hurt. Rescue teams provided on-site treatment to the injured before transporting them to Nong Han Hospital.

The 20-year-old driver of the rambutan-laden pickup was trapped inside his vehicle and initially unable to provide an account of the crash. Rescue workers utilized hydraulic rescue equipment to free him, a process that took approximately 30 minutes. He was subsequently taken to Nong Han Hospital.

The 34-year-old minibus driver stated she had traveled from Samut Prakan, picking up passengers along the way to Bueng Kan. She reported being stopped at the red light behind the BMW when a vehicle rear-ended her, causing the van to overturn. The BMW driver confirmed he was stationary at the intersection, observed lights from behind, and was then struck forcefully. He and his wife were unharmed.
