Felix Paschke, 23, plays for club's U23 team and opens up about his roots in Sakon Nakhon

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Felix Paschke, a 23-year-old footballer for Borussia Dortmund’s U23, revealed his Thai heritage in a new Instagram video, talking about his mother from Sakon Nakhon and a career-halting injury.

Paschke calls himself a Thai-German half-Thai. His mother comes from Sakon Nakhon province, where he partly grew up. The video documents his journey from Hamburg to the black-and-yellow jersey.

Mother hails from Sakon Nakhon

Paschke proudly states his dual identity. In the video he says:

I play for Borussia Dortmund, but I am half-Thai.

From Hamburger SV to Dortmund

Paschke first played in the youth system of Hamburger SV. He even got a run-out for the first team in a friendly match.

After his time at HSV, the 23-year-old moved to Borussia Dortmund. Today he plays for the club’s U23 side.

Injury briefly stopped his path

Paschke picked up an injury during training. He did not reveal the type of injury.

He had to give his body a rest and complete a rehabilitation phase. His career at Borussia Dortmund continues.
