NONTHABURI, Thailand – Police discovered videos of school shootings and links to firearm handling content on the computer of a 15-year-old student who allegedly shot his grandparents and then opened fire at his school.
Investigators found the disturbing material during a forensic examination of the teen’s desktop computer. The discovery came after Thursday’s attack at Debsirin Nonthaburi School, which left multiple people dead and wounded.
Computer held violent content
During the forensic analysis, officers found a YouTube browsing history filled with school shooting videos. They also uncovered links to Roblox content that showed how to handle firearms.
The videos were accessed on July 30 — more than a week before Friday’s school shooting. Police are now examining whether the content influenced the teenager’s actions.
Grandparents killed first
The attack began on Thursday at 12:28 PM when police responded to reports of gunshots at a home in Bang Bua Thong district. Officers found the bodies of the suspect’s grandparents.
The 73-year-old grandfather was discovered dead in the kitchen. His 74-year-old wife lay dead on a bed on the second floor. Both had suffered fatal gunshot wounds, investigators confirmed.
Reconstructing the rampage
According to the current investigation, the teenager took his grandfather’s firearm early in the morning. He used that weapon to kill both grandparents inside their home.
The suspect then drove to Debsirin Nonthaburi School. Once there, he carried out the shooting that caused multiple deaths and injuries. The exact number of casualties has not yet been released.
Police continue probe
The student now faces accusations for the school shooting. Police are still combing through the teenager’s computer as part of their ongoing investigation.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the full extent of the evidence found. The case continues to develop as forensic experts analyze the digital trail left by the suspect.
