SRI RACHA, THAILAND – More than 5,500 runners raised 2.3 million baht for medical and education projects at the 24th PAN x DAYBREAK 10K Charity Run 2025 in Sri Racha.
Early morning start on Koh Loy
The charity race took place on Sunday, 14 December 2025, on the island of Koh Loy in Sri Racha district, Chonburi province, and was regarded as one of the region’s most significant fundraising runs. The event featured two distances: a 10‑kilometre main race that started at 5:00 a.m. and a 5‑kilometre fun run that followed at 5:15 a.m. Children under twelve and runners over sixty also took part, reflecting a broad age range of participants.
Officials mark formal opening
The opening ceremony with a flag start was attended by numerous representatives from politics, business and healthcare. Among them were Chonburi deputy governor Chaiyaporn Paephromrat and his secretary Sathaporn Samutnoi, along with Bunkiat Chokwatana, chairman of Pan Asia Footwear Public Company Limited, and company CEO Sammat Khunset. Also present were Sri Racha mayor Chatrachai Timkrachang, deputy mayor Praphat Charoensantisuk, Dr. Somyot Lochindapong, deputy director of Somdej Phra Borommaratchathewi Hospital Sri Racha, and Vithaya Waewsuwan, director for special affairs at Laem Chabang Hospital.
Celebrity participation and awards
Additional attention was drawn by well‑known Thai singer and actor Tao Somchai Kemglad, who ran alongside other participants. He then presented the awards to winners in the different race categories. According to both participants and organisers, the atmosphere was shaped by a strong sense of community and sporting motivation, with organisers highlighting the blend of fitness and charity.
All entry fees donated without deductions
All entry fees were donated in full without any deductions for costs, according to the organiser. The race was organised by Pan Asia Footwear in cooperation with Daybreak. Company head Bunkiat Chokwatana handed over a total of 2,300,000 baht, which was distributed to several projects.
Funds directed to hospitals and education
Of the total amount, 1,000,000 baht went to Somdej Phra Borommaratchathewi Hospital Sri Racha for the purchase of medical equipment, and 600,000 baht went to Laem Chabang Hospital. A further 500,000 baht was allocated to scholarships for high‑achieving but disadvantaged students at educational institutions in Sri Racha, including Sri Racha Vocational College, Sri Maharacha Municipal School, Ratsaniyomtham Temple Municipal School and local child development centres. In addition, 200,000 baht was donated to the E‑Jan Foundation to help build a school for children with special educational needs in Thong Pha Phum.
Event concludes with prizes and group photos
The event ended with the official prize‑giving ceremony in all race categories and group photos taken by the bay of Sri Racha. Organisers and participants described the run as a successful example of how physical fitness, local cohesion and targeted charitable work could be combined.
