THAILAND – Police in Thailand launched an urgent search for a foreign Mercedes driver who allegedly forced an elderly man and his 12-year-old granddaughter to brake hard on their motorcycle before confronting them on the roadside.
Viral video shows tense roadside confrontation
A widely shared clip on the “Jae Moi v+” page appeared to show a Mercedes-Benz accelerating aggressively, cutting in front of the motorcycle and forcing it to a stop. The driver, reportedly of Chinese nationality, then got out and walked toward the grandfather and the girl in a menacing manner. The confrontation lasted around two minutes, during which the child became so terrified that she broke down in hysterical tears while her grandfather tried to stay calm and shield her.
Food delivery rider records the incident
According to the report, a food-delivery rider witnessed the incident from the start and saw the Mercedes traveling at high speed as if intending to lightly ram the motorcycle. He immediately took out his phone and recorded the entire escalation as evidence, and his video is now considered the main piece of evidence for investigators. The witness said the foreigner got out of the car to challenge the motorcycle’s occupants, and that the situation threatened to escalate further at any moment.
Driver flees after passers-by intervene
Only when several passers-by noticed the threatening scene and intervened did the Mercedes driver withdraw.
