Pattaya, Thailand – Pattaya is pushing its beaches to international standards with new awards and certifications. Mayor Poramet Ngampichet said on May 5 that the city is working on long-term sustainability in tourism and a better experience for visitors. The beach also earned global recognition, ranking 12th in the Golden Beach Award 2024 for the world’s best beaches.

Pattaya Beach has been certified under ISO 13009:2015. The international standard covers beach operation management, including cleanliness, safety systems, and coastal environmental protection.
The certification provides a structured and measurable framework. For Pattaya, it is a visible sign that the beach is not only beautiful but also well organised.

Pattaya’s natural tourism sites also received a “very good” rating under Thailand’s national tourism evaluation criteria. According to the city, the assessment reflects ongoing improvements in quality standards, not just in appearance.
Additionally, Pattaya Beach placed 12th in the Golden Beach Award 2024 by BeachAtlas, ranking among the top 100 beaches worldwide. The ranking is based on votes from travellers, photographers, and global influencers.
