Tak, Thailand – Three Myanmar migrant workers, including a mother, her husband, and their 11-year-old son, are dead following the suspected detonation of a suicide drone ordnance on a chili field near the Thai-Myanmar border. The incident on June 2, 2026, has caused widespread concern in border communities, prompting evacuations and official warnings.
The affected individuals received medical attention after the explosion. Authorities confirmed that fatalities and injuries occurred during the incident.
The two survivors are receiving medical treatment at Mae Sot Hospital. Local residents provided first aid and transported them to the clinic.

Reports indicate that a drone laden with explosives crossed the border from Myanmar into Thailand, collided with a large tree, and crashed near the road. The damaged drone lay beside the tree, approximately ten meters from the explosion crater.
