28 Injured in Two-Story Coach Crash on Phetkasem Road

Phetchaburi, Thailand – A two-story tour bus lost control and overturned on Phetkasem Road on June 5, 2026, injuring 28 people on board.

An incident occurred on the Phetkasem Road heading towards Bangkok when a two-story tour bus veered off the road. The vehicle collided with the median barrier and subsequently overturned. There were 31 people on board the bus at the time of the accident, with 28 sustaining injuries.

The bus, operating on the Surat Thani–Bangkok route, went off the road opposite the Sophon Crane shop in the Khao Yoi district. It then struck the central median barrier before tipping over. The scene revealed a severely damaged, two-story air-conditioned vehicle.

The Khao Yoi Police Station immediately alerted the Sawang Sanphet rescue service and ambulances from the local hospital. All emergency teams rapidly responded to the scene.

Paramedics provided immediate first aid to the injured passengers at the roadside. Those requiring further treatment were then transported to nearby hospitals for comprehensive care.

Out of the 31 individuals on board, 28 were injured, with 23 suffering minor injuries and five experiencing moderate injuries. Three passengers were reported to be unharmed.

At the time of reporting, no fatalities were confirmed, and the identities of those involved were not disclosed.
