BANGKOK, Thailand – Thai national bodybuilder Toon Vegan says a group of Israeli tourists pounded on his hotel room door four times at 2am, leaving his wife terrified.
The athlete, real name Prakasit Khrueabut, was staying at a hotel in the Pratunam district with his wife when the noise erupted.
Four heavy blows against the hotel door
Toon Vegan described the incident in a social media post. He said a group suddenly hit his door four times with great force while he and his wife were asleep.
He heard loud laughter and shouts coming from the hallway. Shortly after, another room door slammed shut with a bang.
Hotel identified group as Israeli tourists
The bodybuilder called the hotel to complain. Staff told him the group responsible were tourists from Israel.
Toon Vegan lashed out at their behaviour. He said people in Thailand must show more consideration for other guests and for local residents.
Wife woke up terrified
The bodybuilder was especially angry that his wife had been woken by the noise. He said she was startled and feared someone might harm them.
She was frightened and afraid someone might do something to us.
said Toon Vegan.
He announced he would speak publicly about the incident in a video.
National athlete and world champion
Toon Vegan is a member of the Thai national bodybuilding team and is known as a world champion. In 2019 he won the Thai championship in the Sport Physique class. In 2022 he took the world title.
The athlete has been fully vegan for more than ten years and gives health advice online. He rejects all animal products.
