BANGKOK, Thailand – Tourist police at Don Mueang airport returned a British holidaymaker’s forgotten camera bag. Cops tracked down the taxi using surveillance cameras.
The tourist reported the loss on August 6 at around 9.47am alongside his family. He had left the black bag in a taxi during the ride to Don Mueang International Airport.
Surveillance cameras lead to the right taxi
Officers reviewed footage together with the airport’s surveillance team. They identified a yellow taxi with licence plate Tho Lo 5261 Bangkok.
Police contacted the taxi driver. He confirmed the camera bag was still in his vehicle.
Driver brings the bag to the airport
The driver was asked to return the bag to Don Mueang airport. He handed it over to the British tourist there.
The holidaymaker checked the contents and found the digital camera and accessories complete and undamaged. He then thanked the tourist police for the quick help and their efforts.
