Woman injured after Pattaya fall

A 25-year-old woman was severely hurt after plunging from a fifth-floor balcony in South Pattaya during a late-night argument

PATTAYA, THAILAND – A 25-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after falling from the fifth floor of an unfinished building in South Pattaya late Wednesday night, following what police described as a domestic dispute.

Late-night rescue in South Pattaya

Emergency services were called at around 11:06 p.m. on October 30, 2025, after reports that someone had fallen from a height along Pattaya South Road. Volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center arrived swiftly and found the woman, identified only by the pseudonym “Jiab”, lying behind the building with severe injuries.

Rescuers provided immediate first aid before transporting her to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Police officers on site began an initial investigation while medics worked at the scene.

Argument led to fall

According to “Miao”, Jiab’s 29-year-old girlfriend, the pair had been in a heated argument earlier in the evening. Miao told officers that Jiab had grown jealous and upset during their dispute. After the confrontation, Jiab stepped onto the balcony, asking to be alone. Moments later, Miao said she heard noises suggesting Jiab was climbing over the railing.

MIAO REPORTED THAT SHE TRIED TO PULL HER PARTNER BACK, BUT THE VICTIM LOST HER GRIP AND FELL.

She immediately called for help as Jiab lay injured on the ground below.

Police investigation continues

Authorities confirmed the couple had been inside an under-construction commercial shophouse, though it remained unclear why they were there late at night. Officers and rescue workers were continuing to investigate the exact circumstances of the fall, which they believe stemmed from a domestic dispute rather than foul play.

No update was immediately available on Jiab’s medical condition following hospital admission.
