PATTAYA, THAILAND – A viral video showed two young men breaking into a sudden street fight after arriving together on a sidecar motorcycle, before calmly continuing their day.
Street brawl in traffic as drivers watch
The incident took place on the afternoon of 15 March 2026 in Soi Nong Plab Wan, Village No. 5, in front of a mosque. In the clip, the pair got off their sidecar motorcycle and began trading punches, kicks and clinches in the middle of the narrow lane.
The scuffle resembled an impromptu Muay Thai sparring session, forcing cars to stop on the tight soi. No injuries or arrests were reported, but the casual way the two carried on afterwards drew widespread disbelief.
Video triggers outrage on social media
The original upload was captioned in English:
“Stopped the vehicle to clear the air for two minutes, then continued on as if nothing happened”

Witness Bang Mat: from fists to bank bench
On 16 March 2026 around 5 p.m., reporters from The Pattaya News visited the scene to verify details and speak with residents. A fried-chicken vendor, Bang Mat (35), said the two men arrived together, jumped off abruptly and triggered a line of vehicles.
He added that the confrontation lasted less than a minute before they calmed down. According to his account, they then sat quietly talking on a bench near a bank, as traffic slowly began to move again.
Who started it – and who rode away
Bang Mat said the man wearing shorts appeared to be the one who initiated the altercation. After the tussle, the man in jeans eventually rode off alone on the motorcycle, leaving the other behind.
The remaining man paced up and down at the scene. The witness said he did not know what had sparked the argument.
Uploader Art describes harsh words before blows
The uploader, Montri Damminsek (23), also known as “Art”, said he had seen the two earlier while they were heading toward Sukhumvit Road. According to his account, the passenger had already been acting aggressively toward the driver during the ride.
Art said they then stopped and got into the physical confrontation seen in the clip, only to behave moments later as though nothing had happened. He suspected a verbal provocation that one of them felt went too far.
Alcohol speculation as police see no case yet
Art also considered it possible that the man in shorts was under the influence of alcohol. However, this remained speculation, as there was no confirmation of any substance use.
Officially, the episode stayed a curious incident with no formal consequences. No injuries were reported, and authorities said there had been no complaint or arrests so far.
Debate over tolerance of roadside violence
The scene raised questions about how easily spontaneous violence in Pattaya’s streets was dismissed as a quirky viral clip when no visible injuries occurred. The incident prompted discussion over whether tougher consequences were needed for roadside fights.
