TikTok Dominates the Billion-Baht Sum

Three of the approved projects focus on data centers and data hosting, together accounting for 913.8 billion baht. This underscores the current strong emphasis on digital infrastructure.

The largest project comes from TikTok Systems (Thailand) Co., Ltd., valued at 842.35 billion baht across Bangkok, Samut Prakan and Chachoengsao. The plan involves expanding server facilities.

More Storage, More Training

According to the BOI, the TikTok project aims to strengthen Thailand’s role as a strategic center for data storage and processing. It will also serve the growing demand from users in the region.

Additionally, TikTok intends to build programs for digital literacy and e-commerce training. This is expected to create new business opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs and improve the country’s digital workforce.

Further Projects in Chachoengsao and Chonburi

Two other major projects have also been approved. Skyline Data Center and Cloud Services, part of the UAE-based DAMAC Group, may invest 46.9 billion baht in Chachoengsao with an IT load capacity of 200 megawatts.

Bridge Data Centres IIO (Thailand) Co., Ltd. received the green light for another data center in Chonburi. The project is valued at 24.6 billion baht and will have an IT load capacity of 134 megawatts.
