Pol. Lt. Gen. Jirabhop Bhuridej stated there were no indications of a planned terrorist attack in Thailand. Instead, he indicated that the incidents appeared to stem from personal interests and disputes among fraud groups. He cautioned that Thailand’s openness makes it more challenging to monitor foreign visitors.
Jirabhop further noted, according to the police, that “most criminal offenses involving Chinese nationals in Thailand are related to online fraud, while Russian suspects are more often associated with digital assets and money laundering.” The police are intensifying efforts to track down fugitives and examine international connections.

Investigations have expanded to popular tourist destinations, including Koh Phangan (Surat Thani), Phuket, Pai (Mae Hong Son), and Hua Hin (Prachuap Khiri Khan), which are now under increased police surveillance.
