PATTAYA, THAILAND – Dramatic scenes unfolded at a lakeside as a teenage girl clung to a speeding pickup, screaming and pounding on the door before falling onto the asphalt. The driver fled, and the girl later alleged she had been sexually assaulted by the man earlier.
Clung to the Driver’s Door
The terrifying ride began on Sunday evening around 8:45 p.m. at the Mab Prachan Reservoir in Bang Lamung district. A motorcyclist named Mix witnessed the girl desperately holding onto the driver’s side of the moving pickup.
The teenager repeatedly struck the vehicle with her fist, trying to force the driver to stop. He ignored her entirely. Mix pulled out his phone and filmed the incident.
Driver Wrenched the Steering Wheel
Instead of braking, the pickup driver suddenly swerved to the side. The maneuver caused the girl to lose her grip and slam onto the road. The man accelerated and fled without checking on his victim.
The teenager suffered scrapes and bruises. Mix said he initially thought it was a stupid prank. When the car didn’t stop, he realized it was deadly serious.
The Ordeal Began Days Earlier
The girl told the witness what had happened before. On April 23, she met a man who promised to help her find a job and persuaded her to come with him.
Instead of a job interview, he took her to a hotel on Soi Nong Prue. There, according to her account, sexual acts took place. Later, he drove her to a barbecue restaurant and then to the reservoir.
Tried to Simply Leave Her Behind
At the viewpoint, the teenager got out to look around. The man seized that moment: he got behind the wheel and tried to drive away without her. The girl ran to the vehicle and clung on.
Mix alerted the Nong Prue police station. Officers took the teenager to a hospital and notified her family. Her parents immediately filed a complaint for sexual abuse of a minor.
Police Face Difficult Interrogations
Investigators have not yet questioned the fugitive pickup driver. The victim also awaits official questioning – because the law requires the presence of prosecutors and trained specialists for minors.
The video footage taken by witness Mix is in the hands of authorities. It shows what the teenager endured: abused, abandoned, and thrown from a moving car.
