Missing person case triggers alarm in Pattaya
A 42-year-old Polish tourist from Gdańsk was reported missing in Pattaya after relatives and contacts could no longer reach him. According to authorities, there was no indication that he had left Thailand.
The combination of a complete loss of contact and the absence of any departure record caused serious concern among family members and investigators. The case prompted a coordinated search involving local agencies and international channels.
Last traces: theft allegation and plea for help
According to information circulated via a Polish news site, the man disappeared under unclear circumstances. A witness in Pattaya reported that valuables had allegedly been stolen from him two to three days before 29 March 2023.
On 29 March 2023, the tourist was said to have asked for help at a massage parlour located inside a condominium in Pattaya. During this encounter, he reportedly requested money for a trip to the airport.
Bus ticket shown as proof – then contact cut off
Reports stated that the man presented a bus ticket from Jomtien to the airport as proof of his travel plans. After this meeting, all contact with him was said to have ceased completely.
Since then, his whereabouts could no longer be determined. The lack of further signs of life increased fears for his safety.
Report to tourist police and check of travel records
A person close to the tourist later reported the incident to the tourist police in Pattaya, after returning to Thailand from abroad. Officers then began checking possible travel movements.
In coordination with airport authorities, departure data were reviewed. The result, according to officials, was that there was no record showing the man had left Thailand.
Ongoing search with national and international coordination
The responsible agencies said they were working intensively to locate the missing man. To this end, they coordinated with relevant authorities and international contact points.
At the same time, information was being collected and the search expanded. The aim was to piece together possible leads from the Pattaya and Jomtien areas and along the main routes to the airport.
