PATTAYA, Thailand – A British tourist fell in a hotel on August 3 and suffered an injury. Pattaya Tourist Police convinced the man, who initially refused all help, to get medical care.
The officers arranged transport to Jomtien Hospital. The Brit had slipped and hit his head in the reception area of a hotel on Phra Tamnak Hill.
First aid refused
When patrol officers arrived, the injured man refused to see a doctor. The police stayed calm and explained why a check-up now matters.
The Tourist Police officers are trained for such situations. They relied on persuasion, not orders.
Gentle pressure from officers
After some time, the tourist gave in and agreed to treatment. The officers calmly pointed out the risks of an untreated injury.
The police called an ambulance and coordinated the safe transport. The Brit went to hospital for examination and further treatment.
