PATTAYA, THAILAND – A coordinated overnight police operation detained thirty-two people in a Pattaya nightclub after drug tests and visa inspections uncovered multiple violations.
Massive joint operation across Chonburi
Investigators from the Region 2 Investigation Division, the Chonburi Provincial Police, the Pattaya Police Station, and the Chonburi Immigration Bureau launched the raid late Friday inside a well-known entertainment venue in Pattaya City, Chonburi Province. Officers sealed all club entrances within minutes of arrival and prohibited every form of external access, including journalists positioned on the street.
Police units screened close to 200 guests, mostly Chinese nationals, over a two-hour period. Several Thai women also underwent identity verification but were released after checks concluded.
Drug test results and detentions
According to senior investigators present at the site, twelve Chinese tourists produced purple urine test results, indicating suspected narcotics consumption. These individuals were taken into custody for further examination.
Simultaneously, twenty Vietnamese women failed to provide valid work permits during inspection. All were transferred to immigration detention in Chonburi pending deportation review.
Forensic officers collected small plastic sachets containing white crystalline powder resembling ketamine from the dance floor. Evidence was sealed and submitted to a provincial laboratory for chemical analysis.
Media exclusion raises concern
Local reporters noted for the first time in months that media representatives were barred entirely from observing an entertainment venue raid in Pattaya.
“Why we were not granted access remains unclear,”
said an unnamed reporter present at the scene.
The complete blackout prompted speculation about internal issues or sensitive targets inside the establishment.

The local news agency SiamChon reported that the investigative team planned a formal press conference only after the laboratory results, evidence custody, and immigration status reviews conclude.
