PATTAYA, THAILAND – The city of Pattaya launched a central relief drive with the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan foundation to support flood victims in southern Thailand, with a focus on Hat Yai.
Time-limited campaign for southern flood zones
Pattaya’s municipal administration accepted cash and urgently needed relief items from 25 November 2025 to support victims of flooding in southern Thailand, prioritising people in Hat Yai. The joint campaign with the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation Pattaya ran daily from 08:30 to 16:30 and was initially scheduled to end on 1 December 2025. Its aim was to gather as many relief supplies as possible within a short period and forward them to the affected areas.
Three main donation points in Pattaya
Authorities set up three collection points in Pattaya for donations: Pattaya City Hall, the area in front of Wat Chaimongkol Market and the Sawang Boriboon Foundation Pattaya. City Hall and the market site remained closed on public holidays, while the Sawang Boriboon Foundation was open every day, including holidays, giving donors at least one continuously accessible location. The foundation has long been active in Pattaya as a local rescue and relief organisation.
Focus on cash and everyday essentials
Organisers explicitly asked the public not to donate clothing. They placed emphasis on cash and indispensable everyday items that were urgently needed in flood-affected areas, including food, drinking water, hygiene products and other basic household goods. With cash donations, local responders in southern Thailand were expected to cover the most pressing needs on the ground in a targeted way.

For further information about the campaign, officials in Pattaya provided two telephone numbers: 038-221380 and 089-0957799. Callers could obtain details on drop-off times, requested items and logistical arrangements via these hotlines.
Appeal for solidarity
The city and the foundation called on residents to contribute within their means to support those affected by the floods.
