CHIANG MAI, THAILAND – Park rangers found a missing person lost in the Pha Phueng forest after a distress call. The person was walked back to base and handed to family.
Park chief Thongchai Narat led an urgent search with rangers from Doi Suthep-Pui National Park and staff from the tourist centre at Doi Pui campsite. They found the person in Pha Phueng forest in Village No. 3, Don Kaeo sub-district, Mae Rim district.

Rangers checked the person’s physical condition before escorting them on foot back to the national park administration building. No further details on the person’s health were released.
The park later recommended a thorough hospital check-up as a precaution.

The missing person’s family had been waiting at the administration building, worried for their return. They were finally able to take the person back.

Park warns hikers to stay on trails
Park officials reminded visitors to strictly follow staff instructions. They said nature trails must never be left.
