SAMUI, Thailand – A 30-year-old Israeli national was arrested upon re-entry at Samui Airport, Thailand, on suspicion of orchestrating a land acquisition scheme on Koh Phangan using a nominee company.

The Israeli citizen, identified as Alisa, landed on the popular tourist island on June 10, 2026, around 10:30 AM. Immigration Police from Surat Thani were waiting, apprehending him shortly after arrival. The arrest was based on an arrest warrant issued by the Samui Provincial Court on May 21, 2026. Alisa had previously left Thailand, leading authorities to intercept him upon his return.

Ltd.” He admitted to using Thai nationals provided by this company as nominee shareholders. Authorities then transferred him to the Koh Phangan police station for further interrogation.

Police have stated their intention to pursue legal action against the involved accounting firm and the Thai individuals who allegedly provided their identities for the sham land purchases.
