Honda LPGA 2026 boosts Pattaya sports tourism

City pledges media support as top women golfers return to Siam Country Club in February 2026

PATTAYA, THAILAND – Pattaya positioned itself once again as a key hub for international sports tourism with the world-class golf tournament “Honda LPGA Thailand 2026,” with the city administration pledging broad support focused on public relations and media visibility.

Mayor hosts organizers at city hall

On 13 February 2026, Mayor Poramese Ngamphichet received Watcharapol Phannuern, Senior Director Marketing Strategy of IMG Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd., for an official visit at Pattaya City Hall. During the meeting, the delegation invited the mayor to serve as guest of honor at the tournament’s Charity Night and the winners’ ceremony.

Tournament dates set at Siam Country Club

The women’s tournament “Honda LPGA Thailand 2026” was scheduled for 19 to 22 February 2026 at the Siam Country Club, Old Course, in Pattaya. The traditional venue was regarded in the region as one of the most prestigious courses and had attracted the international golfing elite for many years.

Nineteen years on the Old Course

Mayor Poramese underlined the long-standing connection between the event and the course.

“The tournament is now being held for the 19th consecutive year on the legendary Old Course of the Siam Country Club,”

said Poramese Ngamphichet, Mayor of Pattaya.

According to the city, the event was considered one of the most important tools to promote sports tourism in Pattaya and to reach new visitor groups.
