PATTAYA, THAILAND – Authorities in Banglamung district arrested a 35-year-old man wanted on narcotics charges after a pre-dawn raid in the Takhian Tia area uncovered crystal methamphetamine and meth pills, police confirmed. The operation followed a months-long investigation that began with the earlier arrest of his girlfriend.
Pre-dawn Operation and Arrest
Acting on orders from Col. Sarawut Nuchanart, chief of the Banglamung Police Station, officers surrounded a house in Moo 1, Takhian Tia sub-district, at around 4 a.m. on October 29th. They carried both a search and arrest warrant issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court. The suspect, identified as Mr. Kosol “A” Makun, was standing outside when the team arrived. He confirmed his identity and surrendered without resistance.
A search of his clothing revealed crystal methamphetamine and methamphetamine pills in his pocket. Officers conducted a further sweep of the property but found no additional drugs or paraphernalia.
Investigation Traced from June Arrest
Police said the operation stemmed from an earlier case in June 2025, when detectives detained Ms. Jongrak “Fah” Kitkaew, 35, in connection with drug possession at the same address. At the time, officers recovered 1.04 grams of crystal meth, one meth pill, and related drug materials. Ms. Jongrak was charged with possession and use of Category 1 narcotics, a classification covering methamphetamine under Thai law.
Investigators later determined that Ms. Jongrak’s boyfriend, Kosol, had been involved in obtaining and using the drugs but had fled before the June arrest. A court warrant was subsequently issued for joint possession of Category 1 narcotics.
Tracking the Suspect
After several months without contact, authorities located Kosol when he applied for a new national ID card using the same Takhian Tia address. Surveillance confirmed that the residence—already raided once—was again occupied. This confirmation prompted police to move in on October 29.
During questioning, Kosol admitted the drugs seized from him were his own. He told officers he had purchased them from a Thai woman known only as “Nam”, whose full identity remains unknown. He also confessed to using “ice” roughly a day before his arrest.
Legal Action and Policy Context
Authorities filed two charges against Kosol:
• Illegal possession of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine)
• Unauthorized use of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine)
He remains in custody awaiting further legal proceedings, including prosecution under the outstanding joint-possession warrant previously issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court.
Police said the operation was part of the government’s broader effort to combat, prevent, and reduce drug-related offenses nationwide.

Authorities reaffirmed that targeted raids and close surveillance remain key strategies in limiting the reach of narcotics networks across Chonburi province and other parts of Thailand.
