BANGKOK, Thailand – Brewery fire victims in Lat Phrao can claim up to 4,000 baht each in compensation, the Chatuchak district office announced.
The devastating blaze three weeks ago near Lat Phrao Soi 1 killed 27 people and injured 63. Relief payments depend on the severity of harm, with amounts ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 baht for injuries and a fixed sum for deaths.
Victims get up to 4,000 baht for hospital stays
Those injured and hospitalised receive a maximum of 4,000 baht per person. Uninjured victims can claim up to 2,000 baht.
In the event of death, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration pays 29,700 baht per victim. Injured survivors also qualify for 2,300 baht in pain-and-suffering compensation.
Who can claim compensation
Eligible applicants include all directly affected residents, business owners, and traders in the blast zone. Injured people and bereaved family members are also entitled.
Those who suffered property damage can also file claims. Heirs of the deceased are eligible too, subject to Bangkok city criteria.
How to apply for financial help
Victims must submit their application along with supporting evidence to the Chatuchak district office. Required documents include photos of damage, medical certificates, or police reports.
Officials review the paperwork and verify the facts. Once approved, the money is transferred to the claimant’s bank account.

Footage from the disaster showed dramatic scenes of guests fleeing the building in panic. The Chatuchak district office says it is working on additional relief funds from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, though the budget has not been finalised yet.
