Pattaya, Chonburi – An injured bull caused chaos and fear on Sukhumvit Road on the night of June 28th, attacking pedestrians and rescuers after a car crash.
Frontal Crash on Sukhumvit Road
Shortly after midnight, a white bull collided with a Toyota Avanza near the bridge intersection in Sattahip. The driver, a retired Air Force officer, was unharmed, but his car sustained significant damage to its front left side. The animal, estimated to be two to three years old, was bleeding from its nose and chest and became increasingly aggressive, running into oncoming traffic.
Bull Attacks Rescuers
More than ten emergency responders, including rescue teams, disaster relief units, and volunteers, were dispatched to the scene. Every attempt to approach the injured animal resulted in attacks, with the bull showing no distinction and forcing drivers into dangerous braking maneuvers. The situation was brought under control only when the exhausted animal moved into a lower-lying area, where specialists were able to secure and restrain it with ropes.
Police Search for Bull Owner
Sattahip police took charge of the animal at the scene and have launched an intensive search for its owner. The investigation will also address the damages incurred. Besides the damaged Toyota Avanza, at least one other vehicle was affected. The retired officer, while physically unharmed, remains deeply shaken by the unusual incident.
Nighttime Danger from Stray Livestock
Authorities have issued a strong warning to drivers regarding stray animals on Sukhumvit Road and surrounding areas, emphasizing that loose livestock can become a deadly trap, especially at night. This incident highlights the ongoing risks on the roads between Pattaya, Sattahip, and the industrial zones, urging all road users to remain vigilant.
