Tourist Injured in Pattaya Motorcycle Crash

Foreign national refuses medical transport after Jomtien Beach Road fall

PATTAYA, Thailand – A foreign tourist sustained facial injuries and abrasions after crashing his motorcycle on Jomtien Beach Road on June 22nd, but he adamantly refused a trip to the hospital.

Loss of control on Soi 3

The single-vehicle accident occurred near the entrance to Soi 3. Municipal officials from Jomtien had previously received reports from residents about a motorcyclist slipping and falling in the area. The man reportedly lost control of his two-wheeled vehicle on the road, crashing to the ground without any external influence.

Facial injuries and abrasions

During the fall, the tourist sustained a laceration to his eyebrow and injuries to the right side of his face. He also suffered multiple abrasions across his body. Rescue volunteers from Sawang Boriboon quickly responded and provided initial treatment to the injured individual on the roadside.

Driver refuses hospital

Despite the visible injuries to his face, the man waved away offers for further transport to a clinic. He remained at the scene after receiving initial care. The reasons for the tourist’s categorical refusal of more comprehensive medical examination are unknown.

Witnesses doubt riding skills

Onlookers at the scene spontaneously expressed suspicion that the driver lacked proper control over his motorcycle, suggesting a lack of riding experience as the cause of the accident. The injured man offered no personal details regarding his nationality or age.
