YANGON, Myanmar – A US diplomat has been found dead in a luxury hotel, and a Thai woman is now in custody as the case unfolds.

A Thai woman apprehended at the scene of a deceased US diplomat’s hotel room has been officially detained. A court in Yangon’s Kamayut district ordered her pre-trial detention on Thursday.
