BANGKOK, Thailand – Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita, has died, the Bureau of the Royal Household announced on June 12, 2026. Her Royal Highness passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 19:48 at the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital of the Thai Red Cross Society in Bangkok.
Health Deterioration
Princess Bajrakitiyabha had been receiving medical treatment since December 15, 2022, after losing consciousness due to a heart condition. The Bureau of the Royal Household had provided regular updates on her health status.
From May 21, 2026, her condition worsened due to an infection in the abdominal cavity. This was caused by inflammation of the intestines, specifically the colon. Her Royal Highness also suffered from low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, and a blood clotting disorder.
The medical team at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital treated her with all available resources until the very end. Despite their comprehensive efforts, her condition gradually deteriorated until her peaceful passing on the evening of June 11, 2026. She was 47 years old.
Royal Mourning Ceremonies Announced
His Majesty the King has instructed the Bureau of the Royal Household to organize royal mourning ceremonies and to accord her Royal Highness the highest honors in accordance with royal tradition. She will lie in state in the Piman Rattaya Throne Hall within the Grand Palace.
