PATTAYA, THAILAND – Two foreign tourists were hospitalized after their motorcycles collided on Jomtien Second Road late on January 25.

The crash occurred in the evening on Jomtien Second Road, shortly before the junction with Chaiyapruek Road in the direction of Na Jomtien. According to initial reports, the two motorcycles merely grazed each other before the riders lost control. Municipal officers on patrol arrived at the scene shortly after the impact and immediately coordinated the emergency call and first aid.
Municipal officers and rescue teams respond
Rescue teams quickly reached the site to treat the injured tourists, keeping the tense situation under control. The injured were identified as a Russian tourist and an Iraqi tourist. The woman suffered injuries to her upper body along with multiple abrasions, while the man sustained a wrist injury.
Victims taken to separate hospitals
Both tourists were conscious when help arrived but were clearly shocked and in pain, and had to be transported to hospitals after receiving initial treatment at the scene. The Russian woman was taken to Pattaya Bhattamakun Hospital for further care, and the Iraqi man was admitted to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. Witnesses praised the rapid response of municipal officers and rescue services.

Police investigate cause of crash
Police arrived later to secure the area, redirect traffic and launch the first phase of their investigation. The exact cause of the collision remained unclear, and officers opened a thorough investigation.
