PATTAYA, THAILAND – A man in Pattaya allegedly chased and deliberately rammed the motorbike of his own girlfriend on Soi Buakhao, in a road-rage incident that was widely shared online.
Car chases scooter in dense Pattaya traffic
Footage from YouTube channel Pattaya Beat 4K showed a furious driver in a black car pursuing a motorbike carrying three women through heavy traffic. Without warning, the car accelerated and struck the two-wheeled vehicle from behind, hurling all three riders into the air.
“It is a miracle that none of the women was seriously injured,”
said eyewitnesses, noting that the impact left the motorbike badly damaged.
Driver yells at injured women instead of helping
Instead of assisting the fallen riders, the driver reportedly jumped out of his vehicle and began shouting at the women he had just hit. Witnesses said the man was targeting his own girlfriend on the motorbike after a fierce argument between the couple had escalated.
“He ignored all calls for help and kept shouting at the women,”
said one eyewitness, adding that bystanders were shocked by the man’s aggression.
Online users speak of attempted murder
The video triggered widespread outrage on social media, where many users condemned the driver’s actions as far beyond ordinary road rage. One commenter wrote:
“This is not road rage… this is attempted murder of three people.”
said a social media user. Other viewers noted that the driver later appeared to apologise to a street vendor, seemingly in an effort to calm the situation, but the deliberate nature of the crash prompted calls for tough criminal consequences.
Police investigation under way, suspect still at large
Police launched an investigation, but the identity of the driver had not yet been officially confirmed and he remained at large. Online, users demanded his swift arrest and prosecution, while the motive for the initial dispute between the couple stayed unclear. Images from the scene were described as clear evidence that the act was planned and dangerous, carried out in what was called blind, uncontrolled rage.
