The clash involved a vendor identified as Jae and nearly ten companions, according to Pattaya Police officials who confirmed the investigation on Friday, November 1, 2024. The altercation occurred just off Soi 12, in a busy seaside section of Jomtien Beach frequently visited by tourists.
Conflict linked to October market dispute
Investigators from the Pattaya City Police Station reported that the dispute traced back to October 29, when Jae allegedly argued with a visitor at a night market in Jomtien over noise and insults. Witness statements collected the same week indicated that a brief scuffle had ended without police involvement at that time.
An eyewitness, a 52‑year‑old associate of the man attacked, described what happened when the group returned to confront the victim on Friday morning:
“We sat by the sea when Jae suddenly appeared with almost ten people and attacked us.”

Police mediation followed viral social media footage
