PATTAYA, THAILAND – Police launched a joint operation with health officials on November 12 2025 after uncovering an unlicensed clinic allegedly run by two fake doctors who fled during the raid.
Coordinated operation in central Pattaya
At 15:30 on November 12 2025, teams from the Provincial Police Region 2 and the Chonburi Health Department entered the Center Pattaya Clinic on 202/109 Moo 9 in Nongprue. Officers acted after a citizen’s tip suggested that the premises offered unauthorized medical treatments.
Investigators confirmed the clinic operated from the ground floor of a four‑storey commercial building largely serving foreign patients, with few Thai clients recorded.
Escape of the suspects
When officers entered the main room, a man and a woman posing as doctors fled through a rear exit and escaped using two separate cars. Intensive road checks across Pattaya City failed to locate them.
“Both suspects used separate cars and narrowly escaped arrest,”
said Pol. Col. Thianchai Lertmaneetaweepol, Chief of Investigation Division 1, Provincial Police Region 2.
Evidence collection inside the building
Before the raid, an undercover officer posing as a patient underwent treatment to collect firsthand evidence. Immediately afterward, the operation began. Inside the treatment rooms, officers seized a variety of prescription and controlled drugs for laboratory testing.
No registered doctors or pharmacists were found on‑site, and no professional licenses were displayed.
“The clinic had no operating license and employed no qualified professionals,”
said Jirasan Miratthanawat, Head of Consumer Protection and Public Pharmacies Division, Chonburi Health Authority.
Cooperation from building management
The building owner allowed full access to all four floors during the afternoon search. Officers established that floors 2–4 were used as rental units, while the ground floor functioned as the unauthorized clinic.
Ongoing investigation and analysis
Authorities began tracing the two getaway vehicles using vehicle registration databases. They also started examining telephone numbers printed on clinic business cards to identify possible accomplices and clients linked to the operation.
The investigation continued under Thai medical and criminal law, aiming to expose networks promoting illegal treatments to foreign visitors.
