Pattaya woman, 31, critical after 8th-floor fall

Police probe after disabled woman’s 8th-floor fall in Pattaya leaves her fighting for life

Midnight horror as woman found critically injured

A 31-year-old disabled woman is in critical condition after falling from the eighth floor of a condominium in Pattaya. Emergency services discover her unconscious behind Building B of the 15-storey complex just after midnight on October 7.

Paramedics report the woman, Ms. Apisara, is barely breathing, with multiple fractures in her right arm and blood coming from her mouth and nose. She is rushed to Pattaya City Hospital, where doctors fight to save her life.

Mother’s heartbreak: ‘I couldn’t believe what happened’

Ms. Apisara’s 58-year-old mother, Ms. Puangpetch, tells police she was asleep when a security guard’s call woke her. “I couldn’t believe what happened,” she says through tears. She shares a flat on the eighth floor with her daughter and only learns of the fall when she runs downstairs to find her injured child.

The mother reveals her daughter suffered a stroke over a year ago and holds a Category 3 disability card. She says Ms. Apisara has battled depression for months, allegedly after neighbours mocked and bullied her over her disability.

Bullying and depression under police scrutiny

Police confirm they are investigating whether the fall was accidental or a suicide attempt. Officers are interviewing witnesses, especially neighbours, to verify claims of ongoing bullying.

“Recently, she was in treatment and taking antidepressants,” Ms. Puangpetch explains. She fears relentless emotional pressure may have driven her daughter to desperation.

Community questions as investigation continues

While Ms. Apisara remains in intensive care, police continue their probe. The case shines a harsh light on the treatment of disabled people in Thailand and raises urgent questions about mental health support.

Ms. Puangpetch keeps vigil at her daughter’s bedside, hoping for a miracle. The investigation into the Pattaya woman’s fall is ongoing.
