Night of terror on Khao Talo
At 2am on September 15, the Soi Khao Talo near the busy market turned into a battlefield. Video captured by residents shows gangs of teenagers riding in on motorbikes, reigniting a simmering feud.
According to 30-year-old resident Kla, there had already been an earlier confrontation at midnight. “They split up at first but came back at 2am – this time armed,” he said. What followed was bedlam: youths slashing with knives and improvised weapons, while others hurled small explosive devices that sent blasts echoing across the neighbourhood.
Locals gripped by fear
The explosions jolted families awake. Many rushed outside only to retreat quickly in panic. “We’re worried it could happen again,” admitted one long-time resident. Parents said they no longer felt safe letting teenagers out at night.
By the time Nong Prue police officers arrived, the mob had vanished. No suspects were found, and it remains unclear if anyone was injured.
Police boost patrols, but no charges
Authorities confirmed multiple calls about the disturbance, yet no formal complaints have been filed. Investigators are now reviewing video evidence and urging witnesses to come forward. Police promised to increase patrols in the area to restore calm.
Officers vowed the gangs will be held accountable – but locals remain sceptical after repeated flare-ups.
