PATTAYA, THAILAND – A 36-year-old woman was arrested in Banglamung on suspicion of theft and drug use before investigators handed her a red rose and words of encouragement for a fresh start on Valentine’s Day.
Arrest in Banglamung After CCTV Complaint
The operation was led by Pol. Col. Sarawut Nuchanart, head of Banglamung Police Station, after a complaint was filed by a victim. The complainant provided CCTV footage to officers, which investigators used as key evidence to identify the suspect.
Suspect Traced to Rented Room in Na Kluea
Following intensive investigative work, officers detained Atchaya Dongdaeng, 36, from Sisaket province, in a modest rented room in Na Kluea, Banglamung district. She was accused of stealing from her employer and of illegally using a Category 1 narcotic, specifically methamphetamine.
Valentine’s Rose as Call for a New Beginning
Before transferring the suspect to the station, police officers handed her a single red rose and urged her to view the situation as an opportunity to begin again. They offered advice and stern warnings, hoping to prompt self-reflection and a lasting break from criminal activity.

After the arrest, the 36-year-old was taken to Banglamung Police Station, where investigators initiated the next steps and formal criminal proceedings.
