“She suddenly jumped out of the moving car,”
said a close friend who had accompanied her to the airport.
Within days, Thai police traced her to central Bangkok and confirmed that she was found alive. Officers coordinated with her mother during the recovery.
Authorities confirm safety, investigate condition
Officials said the officer was taken for psychological evaluation before any return flight to the United States could be arranged. Her mother later updated the online support group to confirm her discovery.
“She is still mentally unstable and refuses to talk to her mother,”
said her mother in a Facebook update.
