BANGKOK, THAILAND – An unidentified woman was found dead after a suspected fall at a luxury condominium in the Kaset–Nawamin area on the evening of 18 April.
Location and emergency response
The incident occurred along Prasert-Manukit Road in the Chatuchak district of Bangkok. At around 8:10 p.m., Phahonyothin Police Station received a report that a person had fallen from a building and been found with fatal injuries.
Patrol and investigation officers were dispatched to examine the scene. The person was pronounced dead at the location, and immediate identification was not possible.
Witness account of the discovery
A witness told police that he had been in the outdoor area of the building at about 7:45 p.m. when he noticed a motionless person lying beside the structure.
Due to the visible condition of the person, he immediately alerted the rescue services. Responding personnel found no signs of life.
Identity and description
According to officers at the scene, the deceased appeared to be a woman of about 30 years of age. No official documents or identification were found on her, and her identity remained unknown.
It was also unclear from which apartment or from which floor she might have fallen. Investigators checked all relevant areas of the building.
CCTV review and forensic examination
Investigators from Phahonyothin Police Station were reviewing surveillance camera footage to reconstruct the sequence of events before the fall. The recordings were expected to show whether the woman had been alone or in the company of others.
In addition, the forensic department of the Police General Hospital was brought in. The autopsy aimed to determine the exact cause of death and clarify whether an accident, third-party involvement, or another reason was responsible.
Open questions and status of the investigation
Key questions remained unanswered, including who the deceased woman was, how she entered the building, and what circumstances led to the fall. Police stated that they had no indications of third-party involvement but did not rule it out until investigations were complete.
The inquiry proceeded on several fronts: forensic analysis, CCTV review, and questioning of residents and building staff. Results were expected once the forensic examination had been finalized.
