Street interview in Chinatown goes viral
The footage was recorded in the heart of the capital and posted on the Instagram account Winomicss, which usually shared cheerful street interviews from Yaowarat, Bangkok’s Chinatown. This time, an Israeli tourist’s answer to what Thailand could improve provoked intense reactions.
“They could be nicer. I was in the Philippines, and the Asians there were so nice. Here in Thailand they are less nice.”
said the unnamed tourist.
Criticism after just two days in Thailand
When the interviewer asked for an example, the woman elaborated.
“The Thais are always in a hurry, they keep pushing you: ‘Do this quickly, do that quickly.’ That just doesn’t feel good,”

An Italian tourist filmed a taxi driver at Suvarnabhumi Airport while the man was sitting on the trunk of his green-yellow cab, eating a simple meal from a plastic bag. The Italian commented in his own language and allegedly compared the driver to a dog.
