Tourists Attack Security Guard in Patong

Three foreign women reportedly assaulted staff on Bangla Road following a routine check.

PATONG, THAILAND – Three foreign tourists allegedly attacked a security guard at an entertainment venue on Bangla Road on June 5th, with CCTV footage confirming the physical assault. Police escorted the women to Patong Police Station and initiated legal proceedings. The incident occurred on one of Patong’s busiest nightlife streets, impacting nocturnal patrons and bar/club staff. The Patong Police Station stated that the situation escalated after the women were asked to undergo a routine check. Three foreign tourists then allegedly attacked the security guard. Officers received the report around 10:50 PM and dispatched a special patrol unit to the venue. Police intervened upon receiving the report.
