BANGKOK, Thailand – Authorities have dismantled an extensive illegal Forex network in a significant crackdown, seizing millions in assets.

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) executed a coordinated operation on June 16, 2026, across five provinces, including Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, and Samut Sakhon. The raids targeted a network accused of luring investors into unauthorized foreign exchange trading. This extensive operation involved simultaneous actions at 24 different locations.

During the operation, dubbed “Stop Money Laundering,” investigators confiscated approximately 65 million Baht in cash. Luxury assets seized included five supercars, gold and silver bars, jewelry, designer handbags, and even firearms. Digital assets such as hardware wallets, along with computers, servers, and crucial documents, were also secured. In parallel, authorities froze over 77 bank accounts belonging to both companies and individuals, believing these funds originated from illicit Forex activities.

The widespread enforcement action was initiated by an order from Justice Minister Police Lieutenant General Ruttapol Naowarat. He emphasized the importance of close inter-agency collaboration for the operation’s success.
