SRIRACHA, THAILAND – The municipal administration of Sriracha launched a new social program providing free incontinence products to care-dependent residents, easing financial pressure on families.
Program launched at Sriracha town hall
On 19 January 2026, Praphat Charoensantisuk, deputy mayor of Sriracha, officially opened the project at 2 p.m. to supply adult diapers, absorbent pads, booster pads and alternative diaper products. The event took place in the ground-floor entrance hall of the Sriracha municipal town hall, placing care needs and daily hygiene visibly at the center of local social policy.
Target group: patients and family caregivers
The municipal health service implemented the program, distributing the listed products free of charge to patients and their caregivers where a medically certified need was present. Eligibility was limited to residents within the Sriracha municipal area, with a focus on bedridden people, people with disabilities and individuals with persistent incontinence problems.
Rationale and social dimension
Lieutenant Colonel Tanongsak Phuengnoi, the municipality’s administrative director, explained in his project report that the initiative responded to the specific needs of dependent and long-term care patients, particularly those relying on adult diapers to maintain hygiene and quality of life. According to the administration, this group was especially vulnerable and required targeted support to ensure equal access to municipal health services.
