PHUKET, THAILAND – Police in Phuket carried out coordinated early-morning raids on two residential properties, arresting six suspects on drug-related charges.
Raids based on court-issued warrants
According to investigators, the operation was conducted on the basis of search warrants issued by the Phuket Provincial Court. Officers targeted two rented houses in different communities within the city, which were searched in quick succession.
The coordinated action focused on properties that had been under observation in separate neighborhoods. Police stated that the aim was to disrupt local-level drug activity and secure evidence for criminal proceedings.
First operation on Koh Sirey
At the first location, a rented house in the Thai-Mai community on Koh Sirey, officers arrested a 23-year-old man referred to by police as “Nann.” At the scene, investigators reported seizing 77 methamphetamine tablets.
The drugs were collected as evidence and documented on site before being transferred to the responsible authorities. Police said the suspect was detained without incident during the raid.
Serious charges against 23-year-old
According to police, “Nann” faced charges of possession of a Category 1 narcotic with intent to sell, as well as illegal drug use. Methamphetamine was classified in Thailand as a particularly serious narcotic, prompting authorities to respond regularly with searches, arrests and subsequent prosecution.
Officials indicated that the case would be prepared for submission to prosecutors after further investigation. The seized methamphetamine tablets were to undergo formal analysis and recording as part of the evidence file.
Second operation in Talad Yai
The second raid took place at a rented house in the Saphan-Ruam community in the Talad Yai subdistrict, where police arrested five people. Among them was a 39-year-old woman known as “Aen,” who had been wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.
The remaining four detainees were accused in connection with the second location of illegal drug use. Police stated that all individuals were taken into custody at the property and searched, with additional items collected as potential evidence.
Arrest warrant from December 2025
According to police, the arrest warrant for “Aen” dated from December 2025. It related to allegations of conspiracy to commit serious drug offences, as well as methamphetamine trafficking for commercial purposes.
The four other suspects detained at the Saphan-Ruam house were to face proceedings on drug use charges. Authorities said they would review whether further offences could be linked to the group as investigations continued.
All suspects taken to Phuket City Police
All those arrested were brought, together with the seized evidence, to the Phuket City Police Station. There, further investigations and the preparation of criminal proceedings against the accused were to take place.
Police indicated that case files would be compiled on each suspect based on the evidence gathered at both locations. Additional interviews and forensic assessments of the narcotics were expected as part of the next steps in the process.
