PATTAYA, THAILAND – Pattaya City announced a packed calendar of festivals, sports, culture and entertainment for April 2026 aimed at boosting tourism under the slogan “Pattaya City, Your Everyday Destination.”
April 2026: Event marathon planned across the city
Pattaya City said it planned a series of major, partly city-supported events throughout April 2026 to ensure continuous activities. Officials described it as one of the city’s most active months so far, designed to link tradition with modern entertainment.
The official list highlighted Songkran celebrations, sports tournaments, cultural programmes and food events. According to the city, privately organised activities might not be fully reflected in the published schedule.
Songkran in focus: Wanlai festivals and modern water events
The month was set to start with Songkran programmes at several venues, including the Songkran Wanlai Festival 2026 from 1–19 April at Central Marina Outlet and “Grand Entertainment Songkran” from 1–21 April in Central Pattaya. These events were expected to combine traditional water celebrations with contemporary party formats.
Further highlights included “Pattaya Songkran Wanlai With MONOMAX” from 17–19 April at Pattaya Central Beach. Traditional Wan-Lai festivals were scheduled in Naklua on 18 April at Lan Pho Naklua and at Pattaya Beach on 19 April, underscoring the city’s emphasis on long-standing Songkran customs.
Koh Larn and religious traditions: rice offering ceremonies
On the island of Koh Larn, the Koh Larn Songkran Wanlai “Magical Rice Offering” Festival was planned for 16–19 April. The programme added religious and cultural elements to the well-known water festivities.
On 20 April, the Pattaya Kong Khaw (Rice Offering) Ceremony 2026 was due to take place in Lan Pho Naklua Park and at Nongyai Temple. The city explicitly highlighted the link between Songkran traditions and local ceremonial practices through these rice offering events.
Beachside culture: preserving Thai heritage
For 2–3 April, Pattaya Central Beach was set to host the “Thai Culture Heritage Preservation Project.” According to its title, the project focused on the preservation of Thai cultural heritage.
These cultural components were intended to ensure that the April calendar was seen not only as a month of parties and sports, but also as an opportunity to showcase cultural content to both visitors and residents. Sports highlights: volleyball, tennis and street basketball
The sports programme was scheduled to begin with the Pattaya Open Volleyball Championship 2026 from 4–11 April at the gymnasium of the Pattaya City Youth Center. Later in the month, the Pattaya Open Beach Volleyball Championship 2026 was planned for 24–26 April at Jomtien Beach.
In addition, the Fitz Club Men’s Doubles Tennis Tournament was set for 24–26 April at the Fitz Club of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group. A 3×3 Street Basketball “Central Marina Inter Cup” event was scheduled for 25 April at Central Marina Outlet, adding an urban sports element to the line-up.
Food, festivals and action: Terminal 21 and Thailand Extreme Fest
For street food and festival enthusiasts, the “Food Fun Fest” at the Terminal 21 Pattaya Runway was set for 3–14 April and again from 15–19 April. This meant the gastronomic programme would stretch across much of the month.
In parallel, the Thailand Extreme Fest 2026 was scheduled from 24–26 April at multiple locations: Central Pattaya, Chalermprakiat Public Park and Thai Wake Park. The city aimed to combine classic festival formats with action-oriented sports and show elements through this event.
Tourism and economy: city and private sector cooperate
City representatives stated that the events formed part of broader cooperation between the local administration and partners from the private sector. The declared goals were to stimulate tourism, support the local economy and strengthen Pattaya’s profile as an international destination.
Officials positioned the city as a place for sports, festivals and year-round entertainment. According to the announcement, April 2026 was expected to bring together traditional Songkran festivities with modern water battles, parties and concerts.

Current notices and full event details were to be published on the official PRPATTAYA Facebook page. The city said it would also use the page to communicate any short-notice changes to the April schedule.
In addition, Pattaya City pointed to the Pattaya Contact Center on 1337, which was described as available around the clock. The hotline was intended to provide residents and tourists with quick information on dates and venues throughout the month-long programme.
