JOMTIEN, THAILAND – A bold motorcycle rider snatched a handbag from a 44-year-old bar owner in the early morning hours, leaving her with significant financial loss and emotional distress.

The businesswoman, identified as Supaporn Sarika, owner of a beer bar, was returning to her accommodation with her Thai boyfriend after closing her establishment. The incident occurred around 1:10 AM on Soi 7 in Jomtien, near Village 12, off Jomtien Second Road.
A motorcyclist suddenly rode up close to the couple, grabbed her shoulder bag, sped away, and vanished into the night. The pair had no chance to react, and the robber was gone within seconds.

The stolen bag contained not only personal documents, including her national ID card, but also valuable items. The silver OPPO smartphone is valued at approximately 11,900 Baht, and a precious Buddha amulet is estimated to be worth around 20,000 Baht.
In addition to these items, 4,000 Baht in cash was also taken. The total loss exceeds 35,000 Baht. For the bar owner, this was a severe blow that prompted immediate action.

Following the robbery, Supaporn Sarika immediately went to the Pattaya City Police Station. Police Lieutenant Anirut Chehora, deputy investigating inspector, took her statement and quickly involved further investigation teams.
Authorities are currently securing and analyzing CCTV footage from the area around Soi 7. They hope to identify the motorcyclist or their vehicle from the recordings to apprehend the suspect.

The police are appealing to anyone who may have observed suspicious motorcycle activity in Jomtien Soi 7 or the surrounding vicinity on the night of the incident to come forward. Any information could be crucial in catching the perpetrator.
