Rapid-response team “Atsawin 1” deployed
The most recent operation was carried out by the “Atsawin 1” rapid-response team under Lieutenant Colonel Rittichai Khamsri, in coordination with municipal agencies. The deployment followed reports about an individual who had allegedly been involved in violent altercations in the past.
Officials stated that these prior incidents prompted closer monitoring and a swift tactical response once the man was sighted again. The coordinated approach was intended to contain the situation before it escalated further in crowded public spaces.
Suspect located on Jomtien Beach Road
The officers located the man near a beach access ramp on Beach Road 1 in the Jomtien area, opposite the Hanuman Curve in front of a building complex. The location lay in a heavily frequented coastal stretch where many visitors regularly gathered.
Police emphasized that the presence of an armed suspect in such a busy tourist corridor posed a particular risk. They moved in to secure the surroundings and prevent panic among people nearby.
