On June 25, Siwaporn was summoned to her workplace by her husband, Sutthinai. He informed her that their child had been admitted to Si Khio Hospital and admitted to harming the toddler. The 30-year-old mother was shocked at the hospital to find her daughter’s body covered in bruises. Neighbors reported that the abuse had been ongoing. These incidents reportedly occurred when the mother was at work.

Siwaporn suspects a direct link between her husband’s violent episodes and his drug consumption. She stated to the police that the violence consistently occurred after Sutthinai used drugs. She implored officers not to release him, fearing he would reoffend and endanger their daughter’s safety.

Following the report to the authorities, the family’s situation intensified. Individuals claiming to be accomplices of Sutthinai from the drug trade approached the family with threats.
